Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is a full-service domestic van line, an international forwarder, and a corporate relocation management specialist. In 2004, Stevens handled 13,550 long distance relocations for families within the continental United States, and 2,700 international relocations. In addition, Stevens company-owned branches relocated over 700 families within their local communities and completed more than 1,300 local business relocations. In total, Stevens handled 18,250 relocations in 2004.

Celebrating 100 years in business, the Stevens Group began when founder Old truckFrederick H. Stevens, Jr. bought his first horse and dray to service the railroad depot in Saginaw, Michigan. The company has been owned and operated by the same family, without interruption, since 1905. Today, the fourth and fifth generations of the Stevens family successfully operate the business, which has developed into a diversified transportation management company, well positioned for the future.

Stevens main office, corporate headquarters and move center are located in Saginaw, Michigan, while Stevens International Forwarders, formed in 1980, operates from offices in Columbia City, Indiana and Seattle, Washington.

Today, Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is an internationally recognized industry leader, employing approximately 500 individuals during peak season, as well as over 400 qualified drivers. With nine branch offices, over 500 agents nationwide and more than 700 international agents, Stevens combines experience with leading-edge technology and maintains client loyalty by remaining committed to customer satisfaction.

Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is a motor carrier holding nationwide operating authority granted by the U.S. Department of Transportation, USDOT #72029, with a service scope of the 50 states and to and from the continental United States and Canada. Stevens provides relocation and move management service to private and public sector organizations and corporations.

Stevens owns and operates ten affiliated carriers and forwarders for DOD (Department of Defense) business. They are Stevens Worldwide Van Lines (SVLM), Stevens Forwarders, Inc. (STVF), Stevens Transportation Co., Inc. (STVP), Ace Van Lines, Inc. (ACEK), Ability Forwarders, Inc. (ABFA), Advantage Forwarders, Inc. (AVFW), Patriot Forwarders, Inc. (PTFW), Burnham Service Company, Inc. (BUSV) and Burnham World Forwarders, Inc. (BWFD) and Central Van Lines, Inc (CMVV). Stevens Government Traffic Division is widely known for its prompt and accurate agent payment and for critical attention to quality, which assures significant booking volume to its agency family.

Stevens International Forwarders, freight forwarder license #FF487, hasShip managed international moves since its formation in 1980. The international division has agents worldwide who work with the staff members located at its Columbia City, Indiana and Seattle, Washington offices servicing shipments for both public and private organizations and corporations. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, as well as some of America’s leading growth businesses and family owned firms, in a diverse range of industries and service groups, including automotive, manufacturing, engineering and the government.
